Paddy
Films is a video production company located in Hoboken, NJ.Specializing in documentaries and personal storytelling, we take
pride in producing distinctive, compelling content.
Our DOCUMEMORIES
project grew out of the belief that we all have a story to
tell -- but too often that story remains undocumented and ultimately forgotten. Recording
these accounts honors the lives of everyday individuals and families and
serves as an important historical record.
Heather
Gibbons founded Paddy Films in 2001. Her background
in video and
film spans a
variety of positions in commercial, corporate and documentary
production, including writer, camera-operator,
producer and director. In the late
1990’s, she developed
skills in post-production as the Senior Account Executive for NYC’s
leading video systems integrator. Her freelance camera work includes
segments for Sterling Films' award-winning PBS show, "Souls of New York."
Her
background also features development and fundraising
for non-profit groups -- including Habitat for Humanity, The Whole Theater
and several human rights groups in Latin America. She received her B.A.
from Columbia University and trained at Downtown Community Television in
NYC.
Paddy
Films is named in honor of her Irish grandfathers, William Cunningham
and James Gibbons.
